Handbags and Gladrags Listening Resource

Music
KS4 >

An audio resource allowing listeners to hear all the parts of the song together, or in isolation. The performance was recorded live on real instruments, with the exception of oboe, horns and strings, and it is possible to mute each track to listen to the instruments/voices separately or in any combination. It can also be used as a performance resource as students can play the muted parts themselves, but still have the rest of the band there to support and accompany. As a composing resource it allows study of how instruments are used to create a pop song.

Although based on a WJEC set work, Eduqas centres could use this as a performing or composing resource, and it could also be used similarly at KS3.
