River regimes and flooding are studied in several drainage basins using river flow data, hydrographs, climate graphs, maps, sketch maps, video clips and some elements of GIS. The unit also includes a decision making exercise based on virtual filedwork regarding flooding in the Cowbridge area. The work may be presented on an interactive whiteboard or can be used by studentsindividually on their own computers.
