There are 5 problems created in PowerPoint and each question gives students a helping hand, pointers or clues on how to tackle the problem. Answers are also provided.
The video of a modelled question takes students step-by-step through the problem solving process. A corresponding PowerPoint is also available to the teacher should they want to create their own commentary.
The Talking Partners Videos require the students to decide which character has given the correct solution to the problem. Can they spot the misconceptions and correct the incorrect answer?
There is also a bank of questions, taken from past papers and pilot papers that have been arranged by topic. There are also some examples of questions from the New Level 2 Certificate in Additional Mathematics to challenge the more able students.
A range of activities to support the teaching of problem solving at GCSE.
